Word up.

Will a 200 diffuser/back box fit onto a 197 straight? - if yes would I need to get a 200 complete system or can I just use a 200 back box and diffuser?

Thanks.

Picture is not my car.

I believe so yes.. the 200 backbox sits into the diffuser otherwise the 197 will blow exhaust gas onto the diffused and most likely melt it!
You could get a 200 backbox on a 197 diffuser and get some different tips

I believe the diffuser fits fine, but would I need a 200 back box as the 197 are angled at the ends?
You could get a 200 backbox, or you could attach tips to the existing backbox to make sure the gasses are channeled to the collector cups/funnels on the 200 diffuser (assuming the standard backbox tips aren't long enough)

the 200 difuser is no different to a 197 fitment wise..same 4 bolts..the only diff is that a 197 back box comes with slash cut tailpipes and a 200 comes with funnels..
a 200 exhaust will fit a 197 and vise versa..

So if a 197 had a 200 exhaust fitted to it, the tail pipes are exactly the same length and wouldn't require tips?

You don't need to change your back box to use a 200 diffuser. I just cut an inch or two off the slash cut 197 exhaust and they fit in the exhaust funnel on the new diffuser fine.

No, just finding out for someone who has a 197 and wants to buy my Scorpion. Just wasn't sure if there was any issue with the 200 tailpipes in the 197 diffuser, and exactly what the difference in length is. I did call Scorpion today and they said the only difference is the round tips vs clash cut. Just wondered if anyone knew for sure?
