200 front bumper on a 197

Right so after my little dink at the ring last weekend I need a new front bumper.

I'm going down the route of putting a 200 front bumper on the 197. Has anyone ever done this?

I know the lights for a 200 are different which I've got sorted courtesy of @Buddyboy but is there anything else?

This is the 200 bumper I have bought but it doesn't look like it has the blade in front of the grill that is underneath the numberplate.

Found this grill that seems to have the back support for that blade.

There was a thread with someone who'd actually done it rather than just talked about it as with those but can't find it for some reason....]

Sounds like it's just lights, which is why the join between the wings and bumper on a 200 looks like the designers hand slipped

I know, it funny how the wing meets the bumper. It was such a cheap way of Renault wanting to make the front look corporate like the rest of the models, sell the whole new model thing......but the wings, bonnet and everything going backwards bodywork wise was exactly the same.

I've got one of those lower grills if your still after one, I think it has a couple of wonky bits in it, a tenner if you want it.

It's a straight forward swap @Gam

wings are identical, so it's just the lights and bumper, there's was a complete front gloss plastic bit on here not long ago and a blade on eBay, for £70 iirc.

Arch lining etc ect should be identical too. Leave the fog lights out and make some kind of project brake ducting IMO.

:worried:

so his 200 lights are gonna be sold?

Whats he doing with the 200 bumper now?
