Audio upgrade, help/advice

Looking at slightly upgrading the audio in my car, nothing majour, just a different head unit & different door speakers,

So I need some advice, what head units look nice and not to chavvy in a 197?

What plugs/adapters and facias do I need, for steering wheel controls etc?

Looking to also change the door speakers, what size do I need to get? & what would you recommend ?

Also looking at fitting or upgrading if it's already got them, speakers in the rear. I've not looked to see if it has rears yet. If it hasn't will the wiring be there? & what size will fit.

Not much idea about the audio side of the clios, but if its a cup i believe im correct in saying it doesnt have rear speakers and if its a non cup it has rear speakers, the wiring will be there if its a cup but just no speakers.

They are both 13cm i believe also.

i think sony are the best to be honest, nothing too fancy or expensive. Just googled them first one that came up had a carbon effect if you like that sort of thing

but just to say ive not put one in my 197, or seen one in any. Standard head unit is fine for me at the moment

I'm actually going to buy one of those , look decent, reviews are good and I need a USB slot.

Awesome, i had a similar one in my last car but with a blue display light which was quite bright at night, think the red would be more subtle

I fitted Infinity Kappa coaxials in the rear of my Clio and the Pioneer perfect fit up front. They sound great in the mid and high range but as they're only small speakers they do lack bass. The best upgrade to the audio system I did was to fit a Vibe subwoofer in the rear, the SLR 12" V2 active. Now the system is near perfect!

Im using a sony bluetooth head unit and base face components in the front and coaxial in the rear. They work nicely with the 1400watt infinity sub ive fitted

I used the Connects2 CTSRN005.2, you'll need to choose the appropriate patch lead to go with the brand of headunit you choose.
