No I got that part mate, I was showing that a) wet sanding isn't required to achieve a perfectly acceptable finish, and b) products last quite a while when cared for properley.
The X3 images were taken after a routine maintenance wash, the car had received a full treatment from me 6 months earlier!! Still looks just as good as the day it did when I'd detailed it.
Perhaps I was being overly critical as you did say that "some products" only improve aesthetics for a short time, not all..
