Effects on fuel consumption? De-cat, Re-map

In theory no, in real terms yes as you tend to use the man pedal a bit more

bit of a catch22 situation - decat needs a bit more fuel to stop a flat spot but you pick up more torque/better engine response so in effect get more back so would in theory use less throttle....if you wanted to of course

better engine efficiency so you would get more for the same so wouldn't think fuel consumption on a like for like basis would be worse
