Exhaust Manifold Needs to Come Off :(

Well just found out my exhaust manifold is cracked at the welds onto the flange on No. 2 & 3

Any advice on dropping the front subframe? Will be doing it outside on axle stands :'(

Is there any aftermarket high performance exhaust manifold for the 197?

Not that i know of, toying with removing the pre-cat but not sure about emissions afterwards and the hassle it would cause.

jms are developing a modified standard exhsuat without pre cat, and theres a german company http://www.reichhard-motorsport.com/ that do an after market decatted manifold.

not the best of jobs to do on "axle stands" out side

get it as high as you can !

and dont forget an engine support beam !

Thats what i was thinking

The top engine mount has some movement in it so i guess thats been the cause. Bloody annoying as i heard it slightly blowing when i first drove the car, but then it went away, i just presumed it was the exhaust warming up and hence the sound change. It was the exhaust warming up - and filling the bloody gaps!

Pah! Keeps me busy but i could do without it lol
