How many of you have HID lights ??

I'm thinking of replacing mine with these. They are 50w 6k. I have 200 projectors, I think the fitment is H1 for main beam.

Can anyone confirm if 50w H1 is ok for 200 projectors?

Thanks
Steve

Cheers bud, I just missed this. The order is being shipped and delivered next day. Not bad for £66.

I'm confident the kit is gonna be really bright. Did you go for 50W 6K? I had 50w 6k on another kit it was like having flood lights on the front of the car and very useful for avoiding potholes at night

nah i went for 35w 6k as most of my driving is in town with plenty street lights so i didnt want them too bright! im just going to go and fit them now, dreadin the passenger side one as we all know its a pain in the ass haha

That is a good price! These will fit the 200 OK?

How much of a pain is it to install these? Were talking bumper off jobby yeh?

i have managed to install the drivers side, with the bumper still on which was a pain but theres no chance of doing the passenger side with the bumper on so defo a bmper off job. Will make it far easier!

Do these still require direct feeds from the battery like the old kits when they first started coming out?

I need some in my life, 4300k though, keep it OEM Y0!

The original feed for the bulb has to pass through the cap behind the bulb into a balast (which is a transformer I think, anyone please correct me). This then passes back through the cap to the new bulb. I'm just creating a how to as we speak. I will stick the link in her if you like?

I have this exact kit on my 197 and its really good.

No need to run wires to the battery, they just plug inline. So you have the original dipped beam feed going to the ballast then a wire from ballast to HID bulb

The base of my HID bulbs (where the metal clip holds it in place) is slightly wide and my bulbs have dropped down in the light unit. Basically pointing at the ground now!

Need to sort it asap!

Anyone else had this kind of problem?

Is the clip fitted incorrectly? The clip holds the bulb very firmly, I'd be surprised if there's any movement possible when fitted correctly.
