5 years, thats due the cambelt unless already done.....

You'll be looking at the sharp end of £800 at least if everything that should be done, is done

Got it a bit wrong on the KTEC price

Cambelt change with genuine parts is £399 + VAT then needs the oil change etc. on top of that which is £109 + VAT or if you didn't have brake fluid/coolant done at 4 years then obviously needs that on top too

So whats invlolved in the 5 year service that makes it so expensive? (apart from the cambelt change)

what i'd do at 5 years would be cambelt £450. oil, filters and inspection (12k service equivalent) £140, gearbox oil change £60, brake fluid flush £45. Obviously anything thats been done already can be knocked off, but add sparkplugs if they've been overlooked in the past (very often left far too long) Thats around the £700 mark, but i'm fairly cheap

Hi guys - My Albi 197 went in this morning for the big 5 year service. Full service, oil change, spark plugs, cambelt, MOT the lot! Took it to Renault as wanted them to do the cambelt properly - not alot of 197's have had cambelt changes so wasnt happy sending it to a "specialist" as it is a big job (need to take the bumper off etc). looking at around £950 for the lot including parts etc but its well worth it. Renault do a "ultimate" service or a "silver" one. Opted for the ultimate. get it back on Saturday!
