Job Interview

I've got a job interview with Mercedes-Benz for a service adviser position tomorrow and the nerves are hitting me already! Was just wondering if any of you guys work for Mercedes that could give me some tips or advice on anything new they've got going on. Or if anyone works as a service adviser but for a different company? Whats its like? Cheers.

A friend was a sales exec for them (now works for BMW). Always used to say about how hot they are on training and knowing your stuff etc

Perhaps do some reading up on new cars such as the A Class AMG, SLS Black and the SLS electric thingy and think of some questions against each, what influences them and competition from audi/bmw etc

If they are now looking at electric cars you could ask if things to do with the role, like needed specialist people for the electric ones etc

Just a thought, only thing i can really say is good luck! Should try and get a day down a mercedes benz world

as said above plus look on the dealers website for their history and culture etc

also maybe some "up selling" of additional work in the job and dealing with customers...

My advice with any interview is to make sure you prepare. Namely try to predict questions they are going to ask you (there will be a lot!) and prepare your response for each one.

Simplest advice ever but the most important imo, nothing worse than going into an interview unprepared and blurting out the first thing that comes to mind! I had a phone interview with Mercedes HPE and blew it because I figured out roughly what they were going to ask me but didn't prepare my answers :/

A lot of interviews ask competency based questions, maybe worth looking as they may ask alongside Mercedes related questions?

Wow thanks guys been studying there website ready to ask some decent questions to. Great idea about the electric side of the business I would never of thought of that. This had helped big time cheers!

Cheers people! Yeah that one warren. Went well this morning you guys were right they asked loads if questions but I think I held my own well. They were impressed with the intrest in the electric side of the business too. Couldn't of gone into that interview blind! Cheers again fingers crossed!
