K tech filter

Purchased a second hand k tech filter today and I think the car sound quieter! It doesn't sound Grunty :/ why is this

Is it a panel filter or a cone? As if it's a panel it's unlikely that the sound will change at all

It's a panel! There seems to be less of a burble

what did you have fitted?

are the ktec pannel filters serviceable?

I've just looked on k tec website at the filter and mine is very dirty haha :/ will it make any difference or just make the car slower?

might restrict airflow a bit, and could suck some crap into the engine i guess, might be worth asking ktec if they are washable and can be re oiled?

just wash it with a couple of quids worth of petrol and re-oil
