new headunit

hey

my radio distorts quite badly and my friend said the headunit is broken, is the headunit the cabasse controls in the dash or is it the small box under the drivers seat as i have heard conflicting things.

Ah sorry, yeah CDs and everything distort once you get above volume 12ish.

It sounds like it could be your tweeters if it's crackling at louder volumes

Well all my speakers distort above volume 12 which isn't that loud really.
