well the time has come to get new tyres..with your help guys I went for the Good Year asymmetric 3 225/45/17 94Y..they look quite good and £70 per corner is not that bad..
had them fitted today after work so have not had much time to go for a spin but from what I've heard,they are very good in all conditions..

i still have my ad08's to decide what to do with them..im really undecided atm..my local tyre place can swap them over for £40 balanced..thats £80 altogether before and after I do a track day at Blyton in Sep..thats probably not the last track day either..
so the question is..should i sell them,get a spare set of wheels or should I just use the GY's on a track??what do you guys think??
bare in mind that my financial reserves have gone very thin recently :roy:

Great stuff Pav, glad to hear you went for the GYs in the end. As you know I have the 2s, but I really rate them :thumbsup: so I'm sure you'll be happy with the 3s mate.

Well if you're paying £80 each time to swap the Ad08s over whenever you do a trackday, it may be better to get a cheap set of second wheels?? Either Laguna Silverstones or even some cheap 197 wheels if you can find them on here or ebay? I've seen then for around £100... Would be a better long-term investment than spending £80 each time?

Yep - get some second wheels, you'd be mad to pay £80 to get the tyres swapped over

no pictures this time..2 things have been sorted this weekend..

1. re gassed A/C - was lightly worried that it may be broken or have leaks but all is sound :thumbup:

2. lowered the car by a bit for the long journey to Europe..just the rear though

By filing the boot to the brim with gear for the trip ?

i'll travel light mate..no rubbish in my boot...going to see my family in Czech so wont need heavy stuff..maybe a pair of shots and a toothbrush

also lowered it by maybe 5mm so not a big diff...

ok i listened to you guys and the wheels were picked up today..managed to get a full set of Laguna Silverstones for £80..not far from Rotherham in South Yorkshire..
they look very good I have to say..the only dilemma Im having now is what color I should spray them..
any suggestions welcome..
