really weird grinding noise

hi guys,

this morning my clio started making the oddest noice, i was driving on the motorway and when i came off at the junction it started to make a strange grinding noice

the only way i can describe it is its like a tree branch is stuck under the car and is dragging on the ground ( but obviously i have checked and its nothing like that lol)

the noice seems to get worse as i accelerate harder but then totally dissapears above around 70mph

wondered if you guys have ever had anything similar ?

you can hear the noise in the first few seconds of the video, its like a grinding sound :S

sounds like some sort of gearbox bearing has failed,especially if its doing it under load then goes away when cruising

it still does it even when i don't accelerate but if i take it out of gear it seems to dissapear

Check this out as that noise sounded kind of like the noise i was getting. It occurred when in gear and accelerating past 3k rpm while turning right. http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?t=24444

Just had gearbox, manifold and engine mounts changed under warranty. (still have not driven it as i am next to a pool in magaluf haha)
