Removing Car seats 197

has anyone got any instructions to remove the rear seats.. need to loose some weight in the R27:001_unsure:

They're easy enough, don't need instructions.

The bottom bases just pull out and the rear bench is 2-3 bolts.

In the corners where they clip in, just make sure the latch is pulled back then the hooks move out of the way freely.

Once you look at the rear seats, you'll see what I mean. It's a 15-20 minute job.

thanks mate should save a few Kilos.. any other ideas for quick weight saving ?

They don't weigh anything, you'll more than likely be saving pounds. haha.

Its up against some tricked up 182 trophys so on paper it should be quite equal however they are a lot lighter.. alas less bhp

About 20kg supposedly, not to be sniffed at every bit helps. You'll need some torx bits to remove them though, the bench just pulls off and only one of the buckles actually supports the back. They latch into the chassis either side and you need to lay them forward and pull up as pushing the latch arm back repeat for each side and then you have the fun of lifting them out.
