renault clear fault codes for free wen u get it serviced. no file is custom unless the car has been on the rollers. its impossible. re writing a map takes months to do manually
Half way there i think Woody, £390 for a true map is cheap! and most likely a companys generic map with the odd tweak, but yea these are generic files but to be fair over 95% of the remaps for these cars are and prob 70% are actually the same map,
Reasons why i think these products are wicked,
1, you turn your map on and off thus saving mpg on a journey also preventing voided warrantys,
2, You can sell it on afterwards thus reducing the cost of your map significantly
3, If you had a problem and went to renault and they update your ECU or reset it you will loose your map, £300 down the drain with this you just plug it back in and off you go,
4, You can keep updating it, if you want a live map then you can go get one and upload it onto the system or if RS tuning get a better one im sure you could get it updated for free or very little,
I had a custom map done on my supercharged R32 and it cost a grand, had to get a specialist over from holand as no one in the UK would touch it, Even a tuner who some people respect and trust on here called in there best and he blew up my first engine, Theres only really a hand full of real mapppers in the country most just buy maps of a big database upload it onto your car and pop it on the rollers to check its ok,
