Single Knock under Acceleration

Hi all,

Is it normal/does your car knock once when you cause the car to jolt by accelerating hard from say, a coast.

So for example, the car is moving along at about 30mph in third gear with my foot off the throttle. Then I put my foot down and hear a quick, single, relatively loud thump coming from the back.

I assume it is pressure on the suspension or something.

Some my questions are:
  1. Has anyone else experienced this?
  2. What could it be?
  3. Do I need to worry about it?
Bear in mind, I had new springs and wheels fitted recently.

Cheers!
Tom.

Tailgate latch may need adjusting?!?

Mine used to do that until I tightened it.

Cheers mate. I'm not sure it's that, though...

Anyone else got any other suggestions.
