Unwanted Remap?

So I found out my car has had a map I never knew until I dug up some old adverts after a few things have been going wrong it doesn't say who it was mapped with so I can't give them a ring it says it was remapped to suit the decat exhaust I was wondering how to remove the map as i reckon it's more harm than its worth how would I go about doing this?

im not 100% on who it was mapped by i seen a comment about it before and if i recall its called Midlands Maps but basically the only reason i ask is the exhaust is blowing and the check emissions light is on, I'm taking it the garage tomorrow to see if they can fix the problem and get the light turned on I have a spare Manifold and Cat ready to swap out if the damage is irreparable or will cost more to fix than fitting the new manifold/cat so i just wanted to know if i do fit a new manifold and cat and the remap is to suit the decat if this would affect the car further
