Updating HU software.

I'm trying to update the software on the multi-func. tunepoint fitted in my 200.

Followed the guide as per here...

Will not work. I'm pretty sure I have extracted the file to a .cab format. Is this correct? Should it be another extension?

Anyone done this successfully?

Reads to me as you extract the contents ( .cab file) of the zip files to the USB stick root directory and not in any sub folder.

Needs to be a .cab file, needs to be in the top directory.

Check what format the USB stick is in, should just be FAT afaik.

Cheers. I formatted the stick but think I deleted some stick related files. I'll try another.

If I select the unzipped .cab file i W8 it asks if I want to unzip it, oddity?

Bit late but if anyone is having trouble, put the file (extracted) onto the root of the memory stick, go through the settings and find the update button.
No idea what the update was though, was hoping for my HTC M8 to work with the MTP
