Wheel Valve is leaking air

Got a nice puncture last week visiting Loughborough uni for a few beers last weekend and I had to get someone to come out and change the tire as it was about 8:00 guy turns up and changes the tire and tells me the wheel might not seal properly see photo and hammers the dent out (125 quid down the spout). Anyway week later I get in the car and it flashes up that the tire pressures low so check it yeah its leaking air from the valve. Went to the garage this morning and they told me I would have to go to Renault to get it fixed. Wanted to check what people thought they should charge me?

Quick update they have come back and said its gonna be 110 pound and I have to wait till the 9th of May

£110 to replace a valve ?

You can buy a valve removal tool on ebay for literally a few quid - and change the 'guts' yourself if thats your issue.

It simply screws out on a thread - and the new one (Also pennies on ebay) screws in.....

Never a bad thing to own anyway.
