which set up?

Hey I love my 200 cup handling and find it still comfy enough but just want it lower. I have 800 max to spend but I don't want to destroy the handling and comfort. Which set up would you recomend as I'm only after improvements not to make the car handle worse thanks

There's only really two options.

Springs - £150-£200

Coilovers - £800+ plus fitting and geo etc.

It is worth stretching to coilovers if you can do so with more time. It doesn't sound like your interested in just going for springs given budget. IMO its coilovers or nothing......I'd rather be on a cup pack setup otherwise.

Don't think I want springs I had some on my twingo rs and was crashy, would v1's be a good choice? Or are there better alternatives such as the spax adjustables?

KW and H&Rs are the ones most people go for. The KW V1s and H&Rs are height adjustable only. They are around the £800-£900 mark. You then have the KW V3s and ASTs which are fully adjustable (Damping, rebound, stiffness etc) but cost £1200-£1300.

You can then go even more expensive and go for the KW Clubsports. These are even more adjustable but include adjustable camber etc. They cost around £1800.

I went for the H&Rs on my 200 as I wouldnt really adjust the more complex ones myself so the extra money for me was a waste. They look bada$$ though:

This ride height is just perfect for day to day driving (Speed bumps, multistory carparks etc). It can go a lot lower (But then the exhaust scrapes on bumps).

That's pimpin N0ddie. Love the combination of lower ride height with the higher offset wheels. Looks spot on.

That's noddie I think you have made my mind up in a oner! just wasn't wanting to destroy the comfort for everyday driving, car looks amazing mate

Wouldn't call it a comfortable ride

Its firm (As firm as the Cup suspension is on the 200) but no too crashy.

Spott on this, perfect hight, Can the KW V1s go the height??

I believe so. Richy200 (I think) had V3s (V1s go to the same height) all the way down and it definitely looked lower than mine.

Speak of the devil and he'll appear

Don't think kw go as low at the back but I love my V3's a lot!!
