Grumpy - yes, tried a bit of AC/DC and Red Hot Chilli's (showing my age). They're both stereo CD's. Nut - mono means audio through a single chanel, stereo means audio through 2 or more channels giving more depth/ direction to the sound. Always an excuse for an upgrade I suppose.
