197 Lower bumper grille

Does anyone know how to remove this?

Just painted the upper grilles and they came out really well so I want to paint the lower one too

Not sure mate, I would imagine if you take off the bumper it would be pretty clear?

What did you paint your upper ones with? Do you have any pics, iv been thinking of doing this myself

There are a load of clips visible from the rear, along with some big bits that slide up between the outer shell and the frame behind the reg plate area. Awkward even off the car, and more awkward to refit!

Hmmm, a job to save up for the summer then. Can't be bothered having the front bumper off again at the moment. Cheers Ralphy

Yeah it clips in off memory, might be some bolts in the lower half too. I removed them off my old 197 when i had the bumper resprayed.

No bolts, just as I said above. Stripped mine down, had it painted and rebuilt just a few weeks ago.
