A year on from letting my clio go

Well it's been just over a year now since the clio went.
As some of you know, I traded her in against a completely stock 08 s2000.

Just thought I'd share where I'm at with the car now.

All comments welcome.
Cheers guys.

Thanks guys. Jap style plate has since been removed and replaced with standard uk plate with metro font.

How does it compare to the Clio? Always fancied an S2000 but for an ageing 2 seater convertible they're so expensive!

Hi Ben. Imo it's better in every way. Don't get me wrong I loved my clio, absolutely loved it but there's something about rwd, and an open top especially in the summer. The S just gives more excitement. It's noticeably quicker than my S but they still aren't rapid.
I have done a bit of work to mine with aftermarket headers, decat, intake and full exhaust system and a remap.
Made a night and day difference, especially mid range where I gained 45whp more at 6k rpm.
I lowered the vtec engagement to 4200 on full throttle.
Plans to go turbo in future, and with forged internals from factory the f20 stock block is good for up to and over 500hp if you so desire.

Far more of a modding scene than the clio which I'm very much into. I like the fact it's far more of an going project.

The screams of the exhaust at 9k rpm which the top down is out of this world. Speed isn't everything, the S is pure thrills imo.

You wouldn't regret getting one, and the engines are pretty much bullet proof.
Watch out for rust of rear arches of older models, but if they are looked after, rust shouldn't be an issue.
