I won't be fitting harnesses as the car is a daily and also the kids will need to go in the back, so I want to retain my normal OE belts.
Do I need to retain the whole pre-tensioner mech? I assume that is the safest and best thing to do? I would have thought none of the off the shelf Recaro, OMP etc subframes would have provision for the belt buckle assembly??? Guess I need to go custom subframe and just the normal Recaro side mounts and sliders on them?
The other question I have is about unplugging and removing the standard seats etc? Can I just unbolt them, unplug the airbag wire and then bolt in the new seats?? I think that would put a light on the dash so do I need a resistor kit from Ktec? Do I need to unplug the battery whilst I do all this???? Hate modern cars!!
