cabasse stereo

Hi just brought a 197 it has a cabasse system with single slot 6 cd changer and i was wondering if it has an aux point to play my ipod?

Have a look through my project thread (see sig), it is quite long but somewhere in there are the instructions to hook up an aux in. There is nothing out of the box, which option you go for depends on how much control you want of the iPod.

ill have a look mate, dont want to control it from the car just after an aux socet mate, ive read there is 1 at the back of the stereo is this true

No, not with Cabasse. You can connect a socket to one of the plugs under the drivers seat. There is nothing useful behind the head unit in the dash.

Whatever you want to plug your iPod into.

You will need the terminals from something like this;

To push into this red/grey plug;


Then the other end will be whatever you want to plug your ipod into. I would suggest a dock connector providing power and line-out.

Ill send you the cables you need for £7 posted, But you will need to make if up yourself as i dont really have time for a while.

Its easy to do with a soldering iron and some heat shrink.

Terminal blocks will work if they must, but soldering is best.

if you could make it up mate id buy im not good at diy lol it would take me a day just to fit this wire lol
