Clio out T5 in!

It's better rund the bends than I thought it would be. It's like a barge and rolls a lot, however it grips and grips and doesn't let go!

Gave it a thorough clean including wheels off and arches cleaned. WHeels need a refurb as they've been done badly in the past. I'm thinking darker, thoughts?

Needs lows! I like this gen Volvo though, was looking at the diesel hatch for the Mrs recently. A good drop and nice wheels and they're full of win.

First mods purchased (yet to be fitted)

Milltek 3" downpipe, Milltek decat pipe and K&N panel filter.

The above and a map should see me wafting along nicely!

I've also changed all the indicator bulbs to silver items, fitted LED sidelights (to match the xenons) and some LED interior bulbs.

Decided that it would be rude not to go down the FMIC route too, so that's in the pipeline. Should all be fitted and mapped in the next few weeks, and hoping to see 300+bhp and 350+ft lb torque. Should be fun (in a straight line at least) and will surprise a fair few!

Had it on the rollers today - seems nice and healthy. 217.2 bhp and 242ft-lb (216bhp 236fl-lb factory figures)

Will update again when the FMIC and map is all done. 280bhp and 330ft-lb is my target for now

It's a bit of an unknown car to be honest, I also like that it looks exactly like the 2.0 diesel or 1.6 petrol! I'm thinking of debadging it. The only give away then is the twin exhaust.

Shark performance (where it's going to be mapped) do a small badge, I might just have that one on it.

I trial fitted the intercooler last night, should fit perfectly. I've got all my hoses and metalwork now, just need to fabricate a plate for the boost pressure sensor and fit it to the end tank then should be fitted by the end of the week ready for mapping next week.

i purposefully went for black to keep the stealth look, same with the hoses - no lairy blue or red hoses here!

What you expecting to see on a map?

280+bhp & 330+lb-ft would be where i'm expecting it to be. It went on the rollers last Friday (@ Dynotech Ripley) and made 217 & 242 (So pretty healthy).

I've now got my silicone bends, joiners and hose clips (thanks Derby Perfomance Hoses!), the FMIC is from Fernandez & Cazan Racing (thanks again).

I've fabricated the position for the boost sensor. I've just got to drill the 12mm hole for the sensor to fit into. Fingers crossed it'll hold, if not i'll get it welded up. It aint pretty, but it'll be hidden anyway. I wasn't happy about drilling hols in my brand new intercooler, but needs must! This is drilled and tapped, screwed tight to the end cap and is sealed with loctite gasket sealant, so should be ok for the 18-20psi i'll be running.

It's booked in for it's map @ Shark Performance on 24th March, and will be back on the rollers in April sometime. I'll update with the results!

Excellent!!!

You've got to do something to the exhaust to let that 5Pot rumble out too, I know it might take the sleeper out of it a bit but DAT NOIZE!!!

I can't, the wife will notice! She knows nothing about any of this!

So the intercooler is now on the car, tested and working properly. I just need to do a bit of bumper trimming to get it to fit back on 100%.
