Cosmo Cordless Car Polish

Hello again.

I wanted some advice, I have never polished my car (for the last 8 years). I think its time. I am a complete novice and wanted to get advice on the above mentioned product.

What are the chances of me completely messing up and taking off or damaging the paint work?

I take it the procedure is as follows:

1. wash

2. clean

3. dry

4. apply polish (not a person from poland)

5. use machine as if I know what I am doing.

Uhmm, theres a lot of steps to follow in terms of correcting a cars paint, it depends what kind of finish you want to achieve.

Also depends on what kind of condition the car is in.

Pre-wash (snow foam)
Wash
Dry
De-contam (tar, iron)
Clay
Polish
(optional) glaze
Seal/wax

Before touching your car with a machine you really need to do some research into
a) Preparing your car
b) How to use one
c) Which products to use

Detailingworld.co.uk has some great beginners advice, it'd be best for you to get a scrap panel (e.g. a ****ty old bonnet) to test products/your process on before touching your car. Also then id suggest before actually correcting it, apply products such as a less cutting polish or glazing the car by machine, where its far less likely that you can damage the paintwork.

Goodluck!
