Engine flush - DO or DON'T ?

Thinking about using a liqui moly engine flush prior to next oil change,

The procedure is to fill the 500ml of their stuff into the engine and leave it running on idle for 10-15 minutes.

Then to drain the whole thing and put new oil in.

Anyone done it?

Anyone recommend or have strong against ?

Liqui moly site says it is 100% safe to all engines and even should be used prior to each oil change, never done it, people I've asked are all a little sceptic about it....

Would appreciate any insight into this

An oil change with filter will be enough, that flush causes more damage IMO

80k is nothing. As others have said you don't really need too. A good service will be plenty. Oil, filter and plugs will be ok

seriously? it can't be that bad to the engine if they do recommend it prior to every oil change tbh, if it was to hurt the engine than surely liqui moly and other manufacturers of similar products would be long bankrupt from all the lawsuits filed

Would be very difficult to prove the flush caused the damage though. I always listen to the professionals and when Opie oils was asked this question they said it's not wise, a cheap oil fill and flush is better to clean it.

when you use these "flushing/cleaning" agents you don't fully get rid of it all from the engine so when you put in new/clean oil it is slightly diluted
with what gets left/trapped inside the engine....
