Hi anyone had there brake pedal go hard while breaking and brakes dont seem to work properly??? Have had fluid changed and made no difference discs n pads r fine only thing i can think off is a vacum leak maybe from brake booster anyone else had this problem????

with the engine switched off
press brake pedal several times until it feels solid
with the pedal pressed - start the engine - you should feel the pedal sink slightly if the servo is working correctly
if not check as you said for loose/chafed vacuum pipe from manifold to servo unit

Right have just pumped pedal then started car with foot on pedal and pedal dropped so looks like a pipe may be split or perished hasanyone got a diagram off the vacum lines?

@ Sturmster if the pedal dropped when you started the car with the pedal pressed then the servo is working ok as @ foxspeed said. Did the pedal drop slightly ?
