hesitation on revs

On my 2007 197, even after the car is warm if i have it in neutral and press the go peddle theres a slight delay/bog down before rev shot up.
Also the revs don't drop very quickly. Any ideas?
thanks..

That pesky flat spot! !!! Most would probably say to get a remap.
Ps, mine is a similar year and under 3000 revs it's a bit sluggish

give your TB a clean..air filter replacement might be due...
also try this if you havent already: here

thanks for the replies, I've done the mod with the vacume sensor on top of the block.
Its not whilst driving its when your in parked up in neutral, it just seems to bog down before the revs rise.

The delay between the pedal press and the revs increasing is due to the fly by wire throttle.

Renaults excuse (I'm sure I read somewhere) is to make the car easier to drive around town.

but if cleaning the throttle body improves this, I'll be giving mine a clean

Cleaned mine recently while leaving it on the car. It was easy enough to just remove intake hose and get a rag in there with some Wynn's Fuel Injection & Carb Cleaner. Can't say I noticed much difference though.

depends whether your TB is dirty or not..if its fairly clean you wont see much diff..
