Lighting issues :(

I have a wierd front foglight problem on my 197.

I go to flick them on, and the dash light appears for a split second, then disappears, and the lights themselves don't come on. The rear light is fine??

Also I have a sidelight problem, my sidelights are both coming on, then a split second later, the drivers side sidelight goes off, and the passenger side sidelight stays on??

Any ideas??

try the simple things first!

check the connections to the lights and that the bulbs are a good fit - dont discount a faulty bulb or bulbs!

as said check the fuse boxes (interior and the 2 in the engine bay) for loose relays and or damp/water

the systems are not iirc direct in the clio ie when you turn the lights on you are telling the body control ecu to do the job so its not always a straight forward job to diagnose or fault find but if you do the basics first it may save time and money!
