Just a quick question I was wondering what you all get MPG wise on the way to work I'm struggeling to get 28mpg is this normal

1. A2ON - 27 mpg
 
My drive is a mix of town and dual carriageway, I've stopped resetting my trip computer after each fill up and it's averaging out at about 28.5mpg over the last 1k miles...

1. A2ON - 27 mpg

Great response so far guys really usefull to know keep adding ....

As I am fairly new to 197's is it true you must run them on super unleaded ?

I think all of the petrol caps have '95 98' written on them which is what they are supposed to be run on, most regular petrol is 95 I have found only a couple of places where its different but a lot of people (including me) find that throttle response, power and mpg are all improved when running on super.

Normal unleaded for me! Can't justify the price of V Power at the min, only saw minimal improvements in the period I did use it...
 
At the moment I'm on bp ultimate the car has only had one owner from new then me so 2 acctually ...

having spoke to Him on the phone he says he has ONLY ever put super in it but it's damm pricy when the things do 28 mpg lol ha ho nature of the beast and all

I had hurd they did not run to good on normal 95 ron ?

Iv gotta say im not exclusive, I will just tend to get whichever super is on sale, but they dont have a problem running on 95 iv done it before plenty of times. I have started to run on alternate fill ups doing one super and one normal - saves a little bit of money as it was 120p/liter when I filled this morning!

I really wouldn't worry about it too much as long as you dont put diesel in you will be fine lol!
