Seat subframes or direct mount?

Hi everyone,

I’m soon to be fitting a bucket seat in my 197, I’m curious of peoples opinions on either a seat subframe with mounts bolted on to it or mounts that bolt directly to the floor?

I don’t like to be too low in a car, from what I understand the subframe and mount option doesn’t go too low but how it compares to the direct mounts I’m unsure.

I also don’t need the sliding function as this is destined for track only.

TIA!

I bolted Sparco subframes into mine then bolted the Sabelt seat mounts straight to them. From memory I had to drill an additional hole to bring the seat forward enough for me.
