Im a training officer at a manufacturing firm that specialise in Copper based alloys. We make raw material thats then processed into bearing houses, landing gear components, go into submarines, defence etc etc...

Also have a qualification to teach in house overhead gantry cranes and FLT's so do a bit of that for new employees also.

We only make the raw product form, this is then shipped to stockists who sell it to places like roles royce for example (or machining companies) who will make it into final product.

Well there is some semi-final product going out the door, there is CNC's on site but I don't use them.

4 years now, and no not really lol, albeit theres some elements I like.

Foreman at an extremely busy and successful general Engineers.

We get involved in some offshore projects, waste management companies, quarries, printers, plastic bottle factories, a bio plant etc etc etc. Alot of health and safety stuff in this modern day and age of course from barriers, protection rails / posts etc, machine guarding, gantries, walkways, access platforms and so on.

We also have a busy machine shop, and take jobs off the street. basically we are a really glorified odd-job shop that does anything and everything that pays the bills. And we work in mild, stainless, aluminium, brass, titanium. Anything metal basically !

We like to do everything in-house. So if we get presented with a problem we go to assess it, come up with a solution, manufacture the product / parts, paint / finish them and install them. For the "site services" / head of Engineering guys we work for at these large companies our aim is to make their lives easy. They make one phone call. We sort the problem from start to finish.

I'm a mechanical engineer/machinist working for a company who supply tooling/flying parts to the likes of airbus.

I previously did design work for rolls Royce which was interesting. I'd like to get back into that at some point.

I can drive fork lift trucks and operate overhead cranes, do some chemical treatments and work a variety of machines, as well as bandage you up properly if you have a boo boo... I got my fingers into many pots in my first place of work lol.

I work at a Demolition & Haulage Company.

My main job is pricing demolition tenders up, but i also get involved in all sorts, i.e. i get involved in contracts managing/running projects, waste management, health and safety, recruitment, work at nuclear places (decommissioning) etc..etc everyday is usually different although the last couple of weeks has been pretty quiet.
