Tires for Cup Racer Speedlines?

Just looking at a couple of options and got a couple of questions-would be grateful for help!

1) I presume my current 215s on my standard rims would be OK?

2) I may just get new tires as probably need at least 2 new tyres shortly. If buying tires particularly for on the wider cup racer rim and for day to day use what size tire would be optimal?

Thanks

215 will work, will give a bit of stretch. I used 225 as the 8J width can take a wider tyre.

215/45 or 225/45 either will do.

215/45 or 235/40

225/45 are taller than standard.

I tried both 215 & 235 on my 8j wheels when i had the Clio, preferred the 215's it was a lot livelier. The 235's were great to and looked amazing from behind the car, as for the grip it didn't feel like there was much in it. Which makes sense as the contact area isn't going to change from changing the width (well the shape of it might but the actual area won't)
