It's a strange noise but I suspect a cracked manifold link below any help would be appreciated cause it's starting to get on my nerves

I have the exact same noise but only every now and then. Also on start up it sounds like a bag of spanners for about a second (Not every start up)

I've put it down to the dephaser pulley on it's way out.

It's not there when cold only once engine has warmed up. Doing my head in

I wouldn't say that was a blowing manifold sound - more like some sort of mechanical issue...

is the air con compressor making the noise? switched air con off to see if it stops?

Have you had the dephaser ect changed, how old/ many miles is the car?

60000 don't think the dephaser pulley has been changed. It doesn't make the sound all the time. Air con was off when video was taken. With it only happening when warm is it when the oil viscosity changes?

Don't fancy taking it to the stealers any one on here close to wrexham/oswestry that can take a look

Cam belt was changed at 48000 not sure about pulleys

Just done a top up of .5 litre of oil noise has gone. Strange????
