Who's got a Fixed Gear?

Just to see if anyone is into Fixed Gear bikes or "Fixies" as the hipsters call them?

Here's mine:



It's a Charge Plug Freestyle but I've changed pretty much everything on it apart from the frame and crank.

I had a On-One Il Pompino. It was a proper work horse bike with racks for commuting not some misguided fashion victims "lifestyle" accessory. Got rid cause I couldn't stand the association. Nor could my poor knees for that matter!

Yeah I know what you mean. Don't have to worry to much about that up North.
I must stress I DO NOT have a moustache or wear glasses with no lenses.
Just like the simplicity of the bike and how easy they are to maintain and customise. Love the challenge as well.

Used to see a few around work, complete with playing cards stuck in the spokes:woody: It has spread up north.

Know what you mean abou the simplicity. I'm sick of sorting my geared commuter this winter. It's a salt encrusted mess! All the fixed ever needed doing was an occasional chain retension.
