Hey, Nothing new so far, I have taken it to a renault specialist and he believes that it's the sensor on the gearbox. He will be replacing it, also fixing the wiring there as it's messed up by someone previously and hopefully this will fix it. I will ask him to replace the tdc sensor as well...

So the problem started making its appearance again... Twice today. I will be emailing Renault again. I honestly don't know what to do here.

I took the car to Renault today. I stalled it for them and then let them do their business. What they found with their diagnostic were 2 faults in the steering column: one for the torque and one for the angle sensors in there. They reset them and they couldn't replicate the issue anymore, nor...

Just a quick update, the battery is fine, had it checked today. I am running some check-ups tomorrow, but it may br narrowed down to the tdc sensor or the steering wheel lock. I'll keep you posted :-)

I know that the battery hasn't been changed for 66000 miles. I will take it to a friend tomorrow and run a diagnostic on the car. If there is no fault, I will get a new battery first thing. I will let you guys know anyway, since this is a common fault, it seems.
