Bigger TB with standard ECU?

If I enlarge the TB, any ideas whether I run into problems with standard ecu and will I require another remap..???? Doesn't the cup Racer run with a larger TB and standalone ecu?
 
the cup racer do as they are not for the road so can run a bit "dirtier"!!!

as for your mod given dbw throttle and the general mapping of the car it would be of benefit to have it done...that way its "optimised" for the mod

or just bolt it on and see what it does :bounce:
 
I think the MAF should account for the extra flow so hopefully no remap needed!

Clios don't run a MAF


I think the biggest difference will be the ECU has to work a lot harder to control idle. Bigger throttle plate means small throttle openings make bigger changes, this may mean the engine will try and hunt a little
 
Was planing geting my'n done, roughly how much do you think it will cost to get it all done if I took my inlet off and gave it to the guys? 100 - 150?
 
Wouw cheap as chips mod, does anyone know any info on those inlet gaskets that stop heat from engine heating the inlet up?
 
PTFE Gaskets (sure that's them), not sure where to get them from though I'm afraid.
