Cambelt and waterpump

Hi
Jut enquiring on what prices people got for a fitted Cambelt and water pump
Does the waterpump have to be done at the same time? I know it's prefered!
And if not changed what real! Damage could it to do? If any

I cheapest I was quoted was £440 for cambelt, water pump, aux belt etc and that included all labour.
I was told a variety of different things by the main renault dealers and a large variance in price. The highest I was quoted was £811 and an additional £100 for the pump.
From the guys I've spoken to you'd be daft not to have the water pump done as if it fails it means a new cambelt.

Yeah it's not worth risking.
I guess the best thing you can do Tommy is to ring around local Renault dealers and specialists, you'll probably find the prices vary a lot.

Te best price I got is 604 without water pump from a Renault garageB others where 780 and 980 with pump
How did you get 400 ? Lol

replace the following -

cambelt (tensioner/idler in kit - cylinder head blanking plugs are extra)
aux belt & tensioner (comes as a kit and isnt expensive)
water pump and coolant (again not that expensive once stripped down)

others have had crank pulleys and dephasers replaced - but if the garage know what they are doing these can be checked and IF FAULTY replaced which they should inform you about before doing it...

Expand your search mate. I'm from Leicester and my best 2 quotes were from BTM in Birmingham and diamond in nottingham.
It's a pain mate I know, some of those prices are ridiculous.

I was thinking of getting my cambelt, waterpump and aux belt done through RenTech down in Portsmouth and let them fit it using their parts but I may do what you say Roy and purchase all the above parts from Karl (Genuine Renault parts) and ask RenTech to fit them. They may not but I can only ask. It will cut down on the overall price as I was quoted total of £540 incl labour and VAT by RenTech if I went through them.

thats still a good price as the parts are over £200 easy...

I live in Hampshire so Portsmouth is only 1hr away from me, plus i've heard gd reports about RenTech renault specialist.

My local dealers quoted me £860 incl VAT and then they said we've got a special offer on at present where we can do it all for £750 I thought still expensive.

My clio 2006 plate 197 has got 41,20k on clock. I've was made redundant 2months ago and dnt start my other job until 9th so hence why i've been putting it off getting it done, however getting it done at 45k as I only work 10mins from home, 15mins per day and do motorway driving 2times a month at most.
