Cleaning an engine

Not sure if it has been discussed but how can one clean an engine taking into account the vast amount of electrical components?

Not sure but what I can tell you is that one does not simply just a jet washer

I use Maguiars Engine Bay Cleaner then the dresser

I use autoglym vinyl and rubber, spray on leave for ten mins then wipe the excess off. Simples!

Some degreaser, megs engine clean, some old cloths, se elbow grease and scrub gob damn it

I just use auto glym machine clean or G101 . Then a bit of wd40 ok electric components and silicone dressing on the plastics.

when i first starting cleaning cars for BMW i used wheel acid under the bonnet not knowing a thing about cleaning the engine or cars, this is 'how not to clean ur engine' as i melted some of the engine plastics i have learnt a lot since then though haha
