Drivers window playing up!

Hey guys, my drivers window only goes down by an inch or two before stopping and then having to press the button again, and repeat to get it all the way up or down.

I've heard about a reset by pulling both buttons up on the drivers side for a few seconds but this hasn't worked. Any ideas what's at fault? I assume it's time for a new regulator.

When you press the button down fully does the window not go the whole way down itself?
If so, when the window is fully down press and hold the window down button again for about 5 seconds. Then when you get it back up do the same again but holding the window up button for 5 seconds then try it.

I had issues like that then a few months later it stopped working properly.

Tried the reset thing already, it literally only goes up or down an inch at a time. I'll try getting the door card off in a bit or tomorrow.... fingers crossed!

Magnets..........


Yep, that's right.
The magnet on my speaker is obviously too big and interferes with the window motor. What a load of shit.

So my magnet theory was bang on.... Purchased some speakers with smaller magnets and it's sorted. I guess Renault don't want people to have decent speakers [emoji849]

To be honest I don't think it's worth the hassle, I had to have my other speaker a good 10-15 inches away from it and I don't want to move the motor to find out that it may wear the cables out for the runner.
It's not the end of the world, with the car being half stripped it's going to take a lot of creativity to get decent sound from it without adding loads of weight with sound deadening etc...
but I do like a challenge. [emoji6]
