I thought it was about time to do a small progress thread on here.
This is my second 197, having come from a Nimbus which I owned for about two years. I've owned this one for roughly a year.
Picked her up in Johannesburg and drove back home to Cape Town. FF with Recaros and Speedlines. Johannesburg is about 1 300km away - so it gave me some time to get to know the car. Interestingly, Johannesburg lies at pretty high altitude - which robs the Clio's NA engine of performance in a serious way. It was amazing how much power the car gained as the altitude dropped en route to the Cape.
Along the way, I also had a chance encounter with a Gordini.
Once home, the first orders of business were a stubby aerial and projector lights with Phillips Diamondvisions.
Next, the Speedlines went satin black. While I like them in anthracite, they didn't work very well with a red car.
Shortly thereafter, I painted the calipers red.
Since then, I've sprayed some interior bits, fitted a 6000k HID kit to the fogs, had the roof wrapped in gloss black, fitted a set of Heko deflectors and dropped it on Eibach springs.
