Warranty work at dealers

When you book your car into at a dealers do you mention if it's covered under warranty or just assume it is if under three years old?

My drivers door locking button is playing up and I booked it in today but didn't ask if it was going to cost me anything.

Ok thanks I just know how sneaky some dealers can be so wasn't sure if you had to be adamant the work is done under warranty.

just confirm when your booking the car in.

"This will be covered by warranty wont it."

probably get the reply

"We'll do an investigation, if its not covered by warranty you would need to pay the charge for the hours labour or so to do the check. If its under warranty it will be no cost."

Then if its not under warranty take your car, pay the £60 and run like the wind.
