Boot door rubber cable boot/duct

I'm currently in the process of re-familiarizing myself with my 200, after it spent 11 months in the garage getting repaired.

I spotted this near the hinge of the boot door - the rubber cable duct, while intact, doesn't seem to be very waterproof - its just laying there in the hole, but its not a snug fit... I would think it should be held there by some sort of sealant or adhevise, otherwise, how is water not going to get in there? Is this concerning?

Also, what is this part called?

It should be a double lipped bung that holds itself tight to the body of the car. One above and one below. No sealant needed. Mine is tight to the metal.

If yours isn’t double lipped I wonder if it has been cut during the repair process.

It is double lipped, and doesn't appear to be cut, but it also doesn't stay flush.. like its been deformed somehow. So I'll have to use silicone to seal it.
