Engine overheating

Hi, when sitting in traffic the engine temperature rises dramatically and i get a warning flash up saying engine overheating and please stop. Ive never heard the cooling fan come on so im thinking it could be that? Is there a fuse i can check to see if its a simple fix? Thanks

first of all check the coolant level. If it's all ok the next thing to check is the fan. Not sure where the fuse is for the fan, there are so many bloody fuses on the Clios!

Coolant level is good. Ive just read through that thread and ive ordered a new relay so hopefully that will fix it. Thanks guys

Im hoping its not that, ive ordered a relay if that doesnt fix it then ill look at the thermostat

there is more work involved but the actual item is cheap...fingers crossed it an easy fix..

have a look in the small fuse boxes at the sides/front of the battery tray...i have a few where the connection has come out of the bottom of the fuse holder...

where all the fuses are located?
(under bonnet, near legs under the steering wheel/side near door) where else?
