Removing interior trim?

I'm trying to remove the plastic from around the centre console, vents and the three strips in my 197 to respray them. What is best to get them out? - I have tried prizing the corner, but I don't want to force it if there is something that needs unscrewing!
Cheers

The side one above the glove box is easier if you open the glove box.

The centre console is two screws either side near the seat belt buckles. Then remove the gearknob by simply pulling very hard and giving it a bit of a wiggle. Then unclip the gear gaitor surround and then unclip the base of the gaitor surround. There will be two more screws now visible. Remove these. The console should now lift up. You will also need to disconnect the 9v socket. I think there is a screw in the bottom. I seem to recall nearly losing that so be careful as the plug is in about three parts.

Thanks man,
I shall give that a go, any advice for the plastic surround by the CD player cooling dials etc?

hate fiddly screws!
