Steering rack issues

Its a shame the dealerships...even renaultsport "specialist" dealers cannot be trusted.

Sorry to crash your thread mate but it shows you are not alone!

I was talking to a lad with similar issues, rack replaced at 9000miles, totally transformed the car

The owner of the dealership where I bought mine has one too and is seriously anal about his car so I'm hoping that he'll understand what I'm saying.

It's always the same mate. They don't know the range and the "brilliant" customer service. I've never had one good experience in buying 3 renaults. It's a shame because they really are great little cars.

If I was you I'd be on the phone to the finance company/renaultuk. I've just changed my rack and the 2 ball joints are knackered. Your problems are exactly same as mine steering doesn't self centre etc etc.

How is it with the new rack? Did you go for 200 cup rack?

RenaultUK are involved but because the dealerships (been to two) dont agree that the steering is faulty, the wont go no further

BTM couldn't find anything obvious faults on the suspension today, literally no play in anything, so going back for a full strip of the NSF suspension soon to see if we can find the issue...
