Joe's UR Clio 197.

Hello, some of you may have seen my progress blog for my 106 Rallye in the non clio section, seeing as I'm hoping to do a few bits to the clio I decided to pop up a progress blog.

To start a picture of the Rallye -

Onto the clio, I bought it standard at the start of the year, but have now decided to do a few things to it so it's to my taste.
How it stands now -

Been on a slight road trip today to pick up these -

Going to get them referbed in a gun metal grey I think, with a few touches of this colour on the car with some carbon I hope

Also got some powerflex engine mounts that I will be fitting in the next couple of weeks.

And due to the car currently being sat on my drive with a snapped spring, It will be more than likely that I will be buying a set of Cooksport springs this next week

C&c welcome!

Adam93 thankyou muchly, can't decide wether to have the Speedlines black with black details on the car or gun metal grey, any ideas anyone?

Cooksport springs are on order, also due to the arb drop links being nackard I'm going to have a bash at making some rose jointed ones, if it works it will be a fair wack cheaper that genuine renualt parts.

Right update,

While I waited for my Cooksport springs to arrive I went ahead and fitted my new powerflex mount thanks to @Fernandez, along with the other two which I hadn't yet fitted -

Major improvement if you don't mind a little more vibration when stationary!

The car then sat like this for about a week -

Got the springs and new drop links yesterday, (rose joint drop links are on hold for the time being). Got it all fitted yesterday and cracked my windscreen in the process :worried:

My drive is not 100% level but you get the idea, more photos will be up when I have cleaned it after a new windscreen is fitted

C&c welcome

Will be good to see the proper height difference when the springs have settled.

Few more photos now it's settled, please excuse the rear badge missing, taking a trip up to spray shack this week to talk prices on having parts painted

One thing I will say, going from a non cup setup to these Cooksport springs I would defiantly recommend them, I love the way it drives and looks now!

Where's the oil leaking from? How bad?

Driveshaft seal is weeping slightly but that's nothing but still needs sorting, and I think it's the sump but haven't had a chance to have a decent look, hoping to track it down this weekend!
Neither are bad in any way, but I just want the car to be perfect!

If you sump is cracked Joe, give me a shout, I have one kicking around.

Hoping its just a sump gasket for you though

I think it's just a gasket, pop me your number via pm and if it is cracked I will get hold of you and work something out for that sump if that's ok bud

Not much has happened with the 197, got a k'tec cat back fitted, thinking of some more modifications at some point.
One thing that has happened is my miss' has got a GW 200 -
