Good write up as ever Chris, you might want to take 0.5mm off the head and up the compression, bigger bang more power.

Why don't your older photos work? Most of the thread is picture less. Do you delete from your image hosting site?

Not quite sure?

Been awhile since my last update!!! cant quite remeber everything thats changed on the car ha but here goes..

The powerflex Bushes kit is all now fitted. What a difference they have made to the car. handles loads better now, not sure how worn old ones would been but still. Also re geo and set up. Cars alot more shaprer and changes direction great. Stays flatter too, less movemeant.

Having have to move over too 225 tyres we were having ussues with rubbing the front numper and arch liner :worried: Rasing the car stopped this but as result the handling suffered. After having a play around with bumper brackets we have spaced the front bumper outwards and removed some of the arch liner. Also had some 20mm spacers machines down to 18mm to bring the wheel inwards. Doesnt spund much but its prevented any rubbing issues and its allowed us to run even lower which is a bouns!

THe passanger side recaro has been removed now and been replaced with a lighter bucket seat. Ive even changed my seat as wasnt happy with the corba. Ive got much nice sitting postion in this and have no back ache. So lighter seats and no back ache is a win win! lol along with seats ive had the renault sabelt wheel fitted. Another great upgrade and allows the steering wheel to come down lower enough without catching your legs.

On thr braking side , ive had Some Godspeed 2 piece discs but ive asked them to build them to thier race spec. This means come with a cruved inner vien such as AP discs. This will allow heat to escape alot better than reylands so hopefully have no issues under heavy braking with discs running too hot! Pads ive stuck with the RS29's the old faithfuls.

With running the spacers - opted for stud and nut kit to save running londer bolts which should be alot safter and also makes tyre swapping alot easier!

Tyres for this year, ive had to switch to Pirelli. TimeAttack has made it a one tyre series so gone for the Trofeo and the P nero. AFter testing on Thursday at Cadwell, really impressed with both tyres!

The rear of the car has been stripped to make way for the rear cage. I have a SD cage on order and hopefully be with me in next week or so from mark fish.

Thursday just gone we had a TimeAttack pre season shake down day at Cadwell. Ive not been back there since TA last year but all the changes to car are clear to see. I shoudl easily smash the time i set last year. During day we had both dry and wet conditions. Id go as far to say that car was quick in wet as i was in dry last year which shows how much both me and the car have come on during the last 12 months.

great update...im glad you are happy with all the changes you have made to your car..looks like a very dangerous machine..

Love it. Was gonna ask about the need to run 225s but I assume that's down to Pirelli not doing a 215? Cage will add a fair bit of weight surely so car may feel slower when fitted compared to its lightest point ie. now?

yep cage is gonna add some weight but in turn going make the car stiffer which is a plus point. Don't think going to slow car down majorly

Chris

Where did you get the buttons for the sabelt wheel?

Car looks awesome and I'm very jealous of you competing in TA. Top job!

I bought them with the steering wheel. There's a guy on the cliosport Facebook page who makes them so been told.

Cheers , be even better when it's got it's livery on !!!

My safety devices rear cage come Friday - It shall be going in on the 18th! Only had rear for now but had the MSA spec one so least opens door to other race series.

Bracket goes onto rear arch as above. Bolt it in place then weld it.

Lowered red the steering coloum last night. Defo a needed modification if running low bucket seats.
